God wants to use us in a way that pleases Him. His word to us this year is: Arise, Shine for our light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us.
We have 5 areas that we will be focusing on this year and the years to come. They are: Spiritual, Personal, Professional, Relationship, and Financial. There are beliefs that some of us have embraced that have kept and are keeping us down and preventing us from rising and experiencing the good life that Jesus came to offer us (Jn 10: 10). Please download some examples of those self-limiting beliefs here:
In this season, we will be engaging different strategies that can help us deal with these beliefs. The first is to identify these beliefs. Since some of them are so ingrained in our subconscious, we may not be able to see them for what they are and how they have negatively impacted or limited us until now. We will rely on the help of the Holy Spirit in the place of prayer to help us identify them. We will also intentionally and logically challenge them. We will work to replace those thoughts with the truth about us from God’s word. We will continually, consistently, and persistently affirm the new beliefs through our confessions of faith and strategic actions. We will also make ourselves accountable to recognize when we begin to drift away from resting in God’s words and promises to us.
In view of this, we will be engaging in a 7-day prayer time. I have made an accompany videos and prepared some guiding prayer points and reflections that I will encourage you to use. Please download them from here.
The good news is that our God is a prayer-answering God who loves us deeply and wants to transform our lives for the better. The Bible says He is not far from any one of us and we praise Him for that. Please remember this: “nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.” So, we don’t have to limit ourselves for any reason. Let’s get ready. We have what it takes—the light and the glory of God. Here is God’s word for us from Jeremiah 17: 12, “A glorious high throne from the beginning Is the place of our sanctuary.” Amen!
See you on the other side!
