Life is full of choices. Life is about making choices. We make choices daily and then our choices make us. Not making a choice is a choice in itself. We must be careful about how we live and go about making those choices.
Making choices can be difficult if we don’t have the right information or resources. The reason some of us struggle is that we don’t believe that God has equipped us to make the right choices.
Our wisdom is expressed through the choices we make. Here is the good news when we fear the Lord, He “will teach him how to choose the best” (Ps 25: 12, TLB). Remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So, if you want to choose well, it will start with deep reverence for God.
Without the fear of God, we cannot be wise and without wisdom, we cannot make the right choices. And without the right choices, we cannot lead a good life. We read in Isaiah 50:10 “who among you fears the LORD and obeys the voice of His Servant? Who among you walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD; let him lean on his God.”
Prayer: Lord, teach me how to choose the best and hit the bull eyes with my choices in Jesus’ name. Amen!
