Albert Einstein, the German-born theoretical physicist once said: “we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” In other words, you will need a higher level of intelligence and thinking today to solve the problems that were created yesterday. Without operating with a different perspective and having a mental shift, you cannot effect any changes in your life or around you. This is one of the reasons God wants you to be wise.
God put you here on the earth to represent Him and get things done, His way. He made you to be a problem solver. This is the essence of your purpose: doing what He designed you for and intended for you to do. The idea of solving problems means that you must have God’s wisdom to deal well in life (Jm 1: 5).
Being creative is one of the ways you can express your wisdom and solve problems. It means that you can imagine possibility and bring something new into existence. It also means that you are innovative and inventive.
To innovate means you come up with new ideas, bring something new out of something old, or something newer out of something new. It also means that you can improve what has already been in existence.
To invent means to bring an idea or ideas to life for the first time. It means to bring something into existence. Just like it’s been said: “necessity is the mother of invention.”
So, when you say you are wise, we expect you to solve problems. And when you solve problems for people they will reward you. Money, therefore, follows problem solving. You have to be wise to know how to make people pay for the problem you solve for them. Because left for some people, they will not reward you for any service you render to them.
Many of us are one creativity away from being called genius while some of us are full of complaints or waiting for miracles instead of getting to work to invent solutions for a better life or different outcomes in life. Many of us have many talents, skills, and abilities that we are not using because we don’t know how to go about it. Many are full of knowledge of different resources but are not resourceful. The expression of wisdom is in being resourceful with your resources.
Being creative means you can simplify and break down complex situations. It also means you cannot get stuck. It means you will always find answer to life’s problems. A creative person is always in search of different and efficient ways to get things done.
The Bible says: “I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions” (Pro 8: 12). Wisdom expressed through your creativity makes things happen. It helps you to find ways to get things done effectively and efficiently. It helps you find out knowledge of witty inventions. It gives you the technical know-how. It helps you devise great plans and follow through with those plans. Wisdom helps you find quicker ways to get things done, solve and resolve things or to achieve your aim. Wisdom helps you not to complicate things.
Our creativity is sharpened by our wisdom. There is a creative way to do things, say things, approach people, run your homes, govern yourself, and your organizations. There are creative ways to express yourself, combine colors, set things in place, or make things happen.
Wisdom is using God’s sense to address life’s issues for yourself and others. It is operating with the mind of Christ. It is operating with a sound mind and doing whatever you have to do with God’s love, nature, attributes, and character.
Prayer: Lord, I receive insight to devise good plans for my life and destiny. I receive wisdom to get things done your way in Jesus’ name. Amen!
