Day 23: Wisdom to get things done

When we look at the pages of the Scripture, we realize that every time God wants anything done in the earth, He usually releases wisdom to those He has assigned to do it. Remember, wisdom was present when God made the earth and everything within. (Pro 8: 22).

Wisdom aids our creativity, competency, and skills. When God commanded Moses to build a temple in the wilderness, He equipped the people He chose or those who volunteered there with wisdom to make things happen. This feat may not have been naturally possible without His wisdom.

"Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, 5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. 6 “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you..."(Exo 31: 1-6).

God has a way of looking at things. He has a way of getting things done. He knows how He wants things to be. He knows what He is looking for. Because of this, He will release His wisdom so that people can accomplish things His way. If we understand this way of thinking, we can rest assured that God’s wisdom is available to fulfill our purpose. God always provides for what He has commanded. He always makes room for His will to be accomplished.

God’s wisdom is available for your marriage. God’s wisdom is available to you as parents. God’s wisdom will always be available as you remain in your calling. His wisdom helps you to be resourceful.

It is safe then to define wisdom as the ability to get things done God’s way. Just in case, God has called you to do something for Him, I want you to know that He has also infused and equipped you with the wisdom to get it done. His wisdom covers every phase of that assignment and as you surrender to Him, He will open your eyes and heart to see and operate in what He has supplied.

There is no need to panic. There is no need to think you are incompetent. There is no need to think you can’t do what God has called you to do. Howbeit, there is a greater need for reliance of God. There is a need not to rely on what you think you know. There is the need to ask God to guide you daily. There is a need to trust the process which God is allowing you to go through.

Remember this, whatever God calls for, He provides for. He will give you the wisdom that no one can stand or withstand. God’s wisdom is higher than our wisdom any time any day. You need wisdom to get things done. Part of that wisdom is listening to great advice (Pro 24: 6). You are bound to fail if you don’t know how to do things or get them done.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always remember that whatever you call for, You always make provisions for.
