We have defined wisdom as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way and for the right reason. Wisdom is the ability to appropriately and properly acquire and apply knowledge. It is the ability to know differences in people, places, seasons, environments, and things. It is being able to use God’s word to run one’s life. It is being skillful in handling life’s circumstances, God’s way. If we don’t learn to live wisely, we will make a fool of ourselves.
The Bible says that it is to your advantage to be wise. The first person who benefits from your wisdom will be you not necessarily the people around you. So, seeking wisdom should be a priority.
'Wisdom will extend your life, making every year more fruitful than the one before. So it is to your advantage to be wise. But to ignore the counsel of wisdom is to invite trouble into your life" (Prov 9:11-12, TPT)
