Day 6— I Am Deeply Loved

Scripture: Romans 8:38–39; 1 John 3:1; Ephesians 3:17–19

One of the deepest needs of the human heart is to know that we are truly loved. The good news is that God has met that need for us. We want to be seen, accepted, valued, and chosen. Yet many of us spend years trying to earn what we fear we might lose: love and acceptance. We work harder, please people, hide our weaknesses, and strive to become the person we think others will love. You don’t have to earn the love God has already shown you in Christ.

First John 3:1 says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God” (KJV). Consider the wonder of that truth. Through Jesus Christ, God invites you into His family and He has become your Father.

God’s love is not a reward for your perfect performance. It is revealed through His grace and demonstrated supremely through Jesus Christ. Romans 8: 38–39 reminds us that neither death nor life nor anything else in creation can separate believers from the love of God in Christ Jesus. He loves you in spite of you.

This means you do not have to live in constant fear that one mistake will make you unlovable. You don’t have to hide from God. You are connected to Him. He has not and will not reject you.

Being deeply loved means that suffering, disappointment, and uncertainty do not have to convince you that God has abandoned you. So, stop measuring your worth by how much attention you receive, how many people approve of you, or how successfully you meet everyone’s expectations. Let your heart become rooted in the love God has revealed through Christ.

You do not have to spend your life trying to become worthy of love. You can learn to live, grow, and serve from the love you have received in Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and making a way for me to know You through Jesus Christ. Forgive me for the times I have searched for my worth in people’s approval, achievements, and acceptance. Help me become deeply rooted in Your love. Teach me to trust You when I feel overlooked and to remain secure when I experience rejection. May Your love transform my thoughts, strengthen my faith, and shape the way I live in Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s Declaration: I am deeply loved by God. Through Jesus Christ, I am invited into a relationship with my Heavenly Father. I do not have to earn His love through perfection or prove my worth to other people. I am secured in His grace.
